Farmers are camping in a polder, which is low-lying land that is reclaimed from water. They can see the countryside around them from their campsite.
When all the campgrounds were fully booked, a friendly owner provided us with a temporary spot for two nights. The facilities, including restrooms and kitchen, were very clean. There was also a washing machine for €3.50 and good Wi-Fi, costing €25 for two people per night.
When someone gives a 5-star rating, it speaks for itself. The planes can be heard during the day, but they don't disturb the enjoyment of the island. The owner is friendly, facilities are clean, and the place is quiet and cozy. A great experience overall.
