After the ski lift at the ski resort ends, there is a forest trail that goes uphill. Before reaching the Port del Rat tunnel (an unfinished tunnel that was meant to connect with France), there are a few parking spots. This area is only accessible when the ski resort is closed and the snow has melted significantly since the trail serves as a ski slope.

A beautiful secluded spot in the mountains with a stunning view. There are no noises and no people around. To find it, continue past the parking area on the gravel road, being careful of the ruts. We went up in a van, but we saw a camper van go up as well. Remember to bring a rain jacket and a warm sweater, as the nights can be very chilly at 2350m altitude (4°C).
