Mata do Cabo Campsite is conveniently located near a local sports center. It offers pleasant tent spaces as well as six camper spots with electricity and water. The shared toilet and shower facilities are located at the sports center. Guests can enjoy complimentary access to the large public swimming pool during the season. The staff is welcoming and helpful. In the off-season, it is a peaceful and quiet place. The campsite is just a short walk away from the historic center, where you can admire tile panels in the town hall and visit the wine museum housed in a modern wooden building. The region is known for being the largest producer of Douro wine.
This Community site offers convenient amenities such as electricity and water near the pitches. It is an ideal place to take a break during your journey, as the charming town nearby provides services for replenishing supplies and doing laundry. Please note that the pool may be closed during the off-season. Additionally, there are breathtaking views while driving down into the Douro region.
There is a charge of €4 for parking the motorhome, followed by €3 per person and an additional €2.50 for electricity. In total, we paid €12.50 for the night with electricity. The location is close to the city center and we had a peaceful night.
