Parking lot at the Drover Heide

You can only park your motorhome in front of the barrier. On Friday evening around 9 pm, we were there and within 15 minutes, 3 cars and 2 cyclists arrived. Unfortunately, it wasn't a quiet place. There is a warning sign at the barrier stating that it used to be a military area and there is a risk of explosions. It advises to only walk on the grassy paths. We had an uneasy feeling, especially with our dog.

We spent a night here in our roof tent. Unfortunately, the nearby wind turbines were quite noisy and there was some car traffic during the night. However, in the morning, we were greeted kindly by a farmer and a passerby.
