The municipality of Ateleta has a picnic area that is fully equipped. It can be accessed after driving a few kilometers on a dirt road. The area offers multiple sources of water, as well as wooden tables and benches for seating. There are also several fire pits available. Additionally, this picnic area serves as the starting point for hiking trails that lead to Monte Secine and around Monti Pizzi.
The place is unremarkable. Parking is behind the restaurant, next to a soccer field and bushes. They charge 10 euros just for parking and 25 euros for loading, unloading, and electricity. The staff is unfriendly. There are better options in Abruzzo; it's advised to avoid this location.
