There are numerous enchanting destinations with breathtaking views along this route. Even while heading east, there are plenty of beautiful spots to discover. We successfully completed the Maries to Panagia crossing in a t3 2wd vehicle, but I suggest using a four-wheel drive and ensuring sufficient ground clearance. Additionally, there are excellent hiking options along the way, followed by a stunning stream with a waterfall and swimming spots in the western region.
The roads in that area are narrow, slippery, and can be quite muddy. There are also big waterholes, ditches, and some parts of the road have been washed away from water and landslides. In addition, there are sections where you will need to do some rock crawling and make sharp U-turns, sometimes requiring you to reverse. It is recommended to use a 4-wheel drive vehicle with good tires, but big campers may not be suitable for this adventure.
