The weather was nice, and the parking was good. The beach was excellent. The public sauna was open, allowing a swim in the fjord right after. It was a perfect stopover.

Eidfjord beach is a nice spot for swimming in cold water and having a barbecue. There is a no camping sign, but it offers good facilities, including a sauna.
