There is a marina in Fredrikstad with convenient parking. The harbor master is friendly and accepts payment in cash or card. There is a supermarket within a short walk of about 500 meters. It takes around 10 minutes to walk to downtown. The marina offers a great view and is usually not crowded.

The cost of 300 NOK per night, with an additional charge of 30 NOK for a shower, seems quite expensive for a basic and somewhat untidy parking spot where it's even not possible to empty the greywater. The location is close to the water and within walking distance to the city, but apart from that... The access can be a bit tricky, as our navigation system directed us to the wrong turn, which was two streets prior. Overall, it's adequate for a quick stop.

The shower on the trip is the best, with plenty of space to stand, and it's clean. There is also a toilet available, even at night. The harbor master is very friendly.
