Great place! It's simple, welcoming, and charming. The facilities may be a bit old, but they are clean. We paid £20 for a campervan pitch with electricity. Poynton town offers plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops.
Elm Beds Caravan Park is a charming campsite located next to a peaceful canal in the countryside. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Despite having static caravans on site, the atmosphere is surprisingly calm and quiet. Tents are also available for those who prefer camping.

Middlewood train station is conveniently located just a mile away and offers direct trains to both Manchester and Buxton. If you're looking for dining options, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in Poynton, which is just a 1.5-mile walk. Plus, there are two pubs, Boars Head and Miners Arms, within a short distance. The Anson Engine museum is also nearby, within half a mile, and is open in the summer months. It's definitely worth a visit if you're interested.
