The mountain road from Taroudant to Marrakech (225 km) features the Tizi n'Test pass (2100 m), where there is a hostel with parking for campers and rooms with showers. It offers great views, a welcoming atmosphere, a good restaurant, and a notable Moroccan breakfast. Toilet disposal is available, but the road can be risky.
The road to Asni is currently in poor condition, with rough and sandy sections. It is advisable to drive slowly, especially with larger vehicles. The road damage is due to both an earthquake and ongoing repairs, resulting in a dusty experience. The south side of the pass is fine.
I had a pleasant dinner and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The road is manageable but requires caution. The area could benefit from tourism after an earthquake. We hiked to a pyramid-shaped mast with great views, but encountered an aggressive guard dog at the top. Be careful on the hike.
