During the night, it is very quiet in Borgo Morfia. However, during the day, there can sometimes be loud engine noise from motorcycles on the winding road. The local farmers let their livestock graze in the village and put up a wire fence across the road. Borgo Morfia is one of the seven abandoned Schisina villages and was built by the government in the 1950s for farmers. Despite not being privately owned, it is open to visitors.
