The area is great and easy to access. Instead of complaining about trash, it's better to pick up some litter. The river is shallow, making it suitable for dogs and children. There are also enough rocks to balance out any uneven spots.

There is a great free camping area by the Acheloos River. You can reach it easily by taking a short dirt road.
