The reception was quite unfriendly and the seating arrangements were not satisfactory. Consequently, we decided to leave.

Moritz is a campsite and guest house located near Pfaffenstein. The campsite has a large, slightly sloping meadow, with the best views at the top. Even when the Wiesenttal is in shade, there is still plenty of sunshine. Fires are permitted. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, and the gas boiler in the showers is often unreliable. They also offer a bread service.

The campsite is beautiful but a bit uneven, which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. We spontaneously drove by in our VW bus and were told to check if we could park there due to the uneven ground. We survived and the food at the guesthouse, especially the pork shoulder, was amazing (although it's usually only available with prior reservation). The price and value are excellent.
