Welcome to Camp "Uf der Holle" located in Hochwald. Our campsite offers a recently renovated sanitary building with closed and heated toilets and showers. Although we do not have a full-time gardener, he visits daily and can be contacted by phone. The campsite features a boules alley, a small soccer field, and a clubhouse for up to 30 people which can be rented for Fr. 30.- per day. Families with small campers will also find a children's playground. Basel is only a 20-minute drive away and there is a post bus connection to Hochwald. This campground is mainly for long-term guests. There are only a few other spots available, but the one we were given lacked atmosphere. The playground was old and not well-maintained. The restroom facilities were good and clean, and the staff were friendly. It's suitable for a one-night stay, but be prepared for a drive uphill!
The campsite is very peaceful, with the only minor inconvenience being occasional noise from passing airplanes. The sanitary facilities are excellent for a campsite, but don't forget to bring 1.- coins for the showers. Overall, it offers great value for money.
