Rosental Rož is a family-friendly campsite located in the picturesque Drau valley in southern Austria. The campsite features a small bathing lake fed by clear mountain water, perfect for swimming. With 430 pitches, all equipped with electricity and many with water supply, the campsite offers a comfortable stay. Surrounding the campsite are meadows, forests, and streams for nature enthusiasts to enjoy. Families will appreciate the petting zoo, play park, playgrounds, and sports fields. There are also amenities for four-legged guests, including dog playgrounds and a dog shower. On-site, there is a restaurant, grocery store, and an ice cream shop. Guests can relax in the lounge with a large-screen TV or join the mini club for various activities. Guided hikes in the nearby Karawanken and Julian Alps, as well as bike, car, and bus excursions, are also available. The famous Drava cycle path is conveniently located just 500 meters away. Please note that not all amenities may be available during the early and late seasons.
A lovely and well-designed place. The sanitary facilities are especially great for families and children (family bathrooms, children's showers, baby bathtubs). The playgrounds are also nicely arranged and it is possible to do laundry (Note: washing machines may have dog hair on them). The only downside is that there is a bit of a "clearance sale" feeling during the off-season.
Well-maintained location with a variety of camping spots to choose from. Warm welcome upon arrival on September 4, 2023. Facilities and restrooms are in excellent condition. Stayed one night while passing through, but it would definitely be worth considering for a longer stay. The swimming pond is fantastic.
