Numerous dining options and pubs are conveniently located nearby, along with a large supermarket just a 5-minute stroll away. Explore the scenic bike trails along the river or rent a canoe a few miles away.
Bad Experience: There is a company operating a kayak business near our location. They woke us up early in the morning and there was a lot of activity with kids renting kayaks. Unfortunately, the toilet block has no water. Overall, it is not an ideal place for relaxation.
Wallingford is a charming town renowned for its role in the popular TV series Midsomer Murders. We have had the pleasure of visiting multiple times and have always enjoyed our stay. The town offers a fantastic dining experience at Shellfish Cow, with delicious food to savor. During the summer, you can cool off in the swimming pool or try freshwater activities like swimming and paddleboarding in the River Thames.
