Bodenwerder is a convenient location near the city and is situated right by the Weser River. The campground offers grass or gravel pitches for motorhomes. To register, simply visit the kiosk where you can also request bread delivery. Please note that access is through the "Am Mühlentor" car park and not via Schwarzer Weg. Toilet facilities require a chip card, which you receive per motorhome during the kiosk's opening hours. It is advisable to have a toilet on board if you arrive late.
Visit Bodenwerder! This town is a typical example of a small, declining German town. There is a high number of vacant shops in the pedestrian zone, many low-quality restaurants are closed even during peak season, and the last Edeka supermarket is facing financial difficulties. However, the town still retains its beauty.
Yesterday, we arrived very late at the parking area and the barrier was closed. After a quick phone call (the number is displayed on the sign), we were able to access the area. The barrier can be opened manually. We even received a card for electricity and were able to spend our first night in the motorhome. Thank you for the service.
