There is a gravel car park located at a national trust viewpoint. It is situated a good distance away from the road, which is a minor one. The car park is flat and does not offer any services. It serves as the starting point for various footpaths and bridleways. A popular Chilterns viewpoint is just a 10-minute walk away, and there are signposted paths leading to it, which are also wheelchair accessible. Please note that there might be some noise from locals who gather and play music in their cars, although this could be a one-time occurrence as it was during a Saturday bank holiday when we visited. From midnight until 8 am, the area is generally quiet, except for dog walkers who start arriving from 8 am onwards. Adjacent to the car park, there is a fun activity trail suitable for kids, and perhaps even adults who are interested.
This location is a wonderful find! It is peaceful and conveniently located near London. However, it's worth mentioning that we had to undergo a police check due to the parking area being part of a prince's property. Fortunately, the officer was friendly and allowed us to proceed without any issues.
There is a fantastic spot for wild camping, where you can experience the beauty of nature. However, please note that there may be some noise until 11 PM, possibly due to an event taking place nearby. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the area is quite popular for hiking on Sunday mornings.
There is a wonderful park that is popular for dog walkers during the day. However, I had no issues with parking my van safely there. The walk to the top is quite pleasant and offers stunning views. I didn't encounter any disturbances from the police during my visit.
