This is a beautiful spot! It is located directly on a bicycle route, so you can expect people passing by. The best way to reach it is from the bridge, rather than taking the path through the field.

There is a parking area available under the trees near the canal. It offers a peaceful environment, ideal for walking dogs or biking along the canal in the morning and evening. However, it is further away from urban areas compared to other locations. Take caution as there have been sightings of processionary caterpillars.

There are several small "park bays" on the forest floor, offering a tranquil and peaceful setting with few cyclists passing by. We had a relaxed overnight stay there and it's a great starting point for a bike ride along the canal or towards Bramsche.
