We had a great time staying at this campsite with our friends who also had campervans. There are about 20 spots for vans and a separate area for camping. The campsite is in a convenient location for people who want to explore the dales, and it's nice and quiet behind the lovely old pub. The service was excellent - we easily made a reservation for 5 campervans and a meal for 12 people. When we arrived, they found us spots that worked well for our group and made sure everything was to our liking. The campsite has spaces with hard ground for the vans, and there's grass in between, although you may need ramps because some spots are on a small slope. The facilities are basic but well taken care of, with showers, toilets, and washing facilities. The pub is a charming family-run establishment, with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is typical pub fare, but the quality is great and the service is too. The prices were very reasonable - £20 per night for a campsite spot with electricity, and £15-20 per person for a 2-course meal with drinks (beer or wine). We had a wonderful experience here and highly recommend it!

This is a great place for long walks in the countryside and along the Tissington Way. They welcome dogs and the owners and locals are friendly. The food is delicious and we highly recommend it. We're planning to return for the beer festival in June. The price for an overnight stay with electricity is £30, but it's worth it for the beautiful location and warm welcome.
