However, please note that it is only suitable for smaller campervans due to limited space. You can access the reserve by taking Amwell Lane, which will lead you to a dirt road. Please be aware that this road is a dead end and located next to a railway. Unfortunately, vehicles are not allowed to cross the railway, but you can easily walk across to visit the nearby Amwell Nature Reserve and River Lee. There have been some recent changes made by the cruising club regarding access to their land. A gate has been installed which is locked at 6.00 p.m., but members have been provided with a key to ensure entry. However, it is important to note that the lane leading up to the gate is quite long and might be challenging to navigate especially at night. Therefore, it is advised to be mindful of the gate duty member who may become impatient while waiting for members to pass through.

This place I recently visited turned out to be quite an extraordinary experience. Despite its challenging accessibility, it proved to be one of the best nights I have had. Situated at the end of a railway crossing, it can only be reached via a narrow lane made of earth. On one side, there is a private fishing lake, while on the other, abandoned cars are parked. This location, although resembling a scene from an apocalyptic movie, serves as an excellent starting point for a serene riverside walk. Even though it attracts some visitors, it is a peaceful spot where nobody bothered me. Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, and it should be noted that only one van can fit in the area.
