Welcome to a former Midland Chandlers canal side motor home park up. Located by the canal, this park offers a peaceful and pleasant stopover. The kind lady who owns the white house by the canal allowed us to stay. They provide electric hook-up (EHU) and WiFi. The parking area is flat and they own a large car park nearby. You can choose to park by the lock to watch the boaters or by the field. The phone signal is strong and the TV signal is good as well. The services provided include drinkable water, EHU, waste water drop, and disposal for black waste. There is also a rubbish dump available. The private parking area ensures that it's never overcrowded. Charges for parking are included in the nightly rate. If you need anything or want some advice on places to visit, feel free to ask the friendly staff at the house or unit. They also have a shop that sells Blue & Pink toilet roll and a great selection of polish. While the place caters more towards boaters, they also have items for campervans and self-builds such as batteries. Please call ahead to book your parking space, as they only have two EHU spots by the canal and two to three spots with field views, depending on size.
This park is highly recommended for its great location and friendly staff. It offers electric hook-up, water, waste disposal facilities, and rubbish bins. The parking area is conveniently located just 5 meters away from the canal locks, although there may be some noise from the nearby motorway. The price of £14 per night is quite reasonable.
The staff at the campground were extremely friendly and accommodating. Upon arriving on a Saturday afternoon, they asked if we needed any services such as water or emptying the toilet. We requested to have it done the following morning, and they had no problem with that. We arranged for Sunday at 7:00 am, and by 7:15 am, our toilet was clean, water tank was filled, and grey water tank was emptied. It was perfect! Plus, the cost was only £10 without electricity.
