This is a family-owned caravan and camping park located in the beautiful Peak District National Park. There is also a grass area available for tents and small campervans, with optional electric hook-ups. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful countryside surroundings or take advantage of the numerous walking and cycling opportunities in the national park. The park also features clean toilet and shower facilities, two play areas, an on-site café, and a designated area for walking and exercising dogs.
We stayed at this caravan site at the end of January '22 and had a great experience. The location is convenient with a good bus service to Bakewell and Buxton. The bus stop is within easy walking distance, making it suitable for older guests. There are also plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling for those who prefer to be more active. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.
The hosts were welcoming and helpful, with good knowledge of the local area. The prices were reasonable, and the toilets and shower facilities were clean and well-maintained. While there was no 4G signal, this is not the fault of the owners. The provided WIFI was not the strongest, but this is to be expected in a rural setting. It was convenient to be able to have a delivery to the site. Overall, a pleasant experience and would consider visiting again.
