Lao River Camp is a delightful camping spot with stunning scenery. It offers various amenities such as a restaurant, bathrooms, and spacious showers. While there are no drainage facilities, the campground can accommodate tents and campers. Please note that the road leading to the campsite has some ups and downs, which may pose a slight challenge, but we successfully reached the destination with a 7-meter vehicle. The campsite is well-run and we were warmly greeted upon arrival.

Pollino is a beautiful mountainous area in a somewhat challenging location to access. However, the stunning views and the famous "paccaro" dish with "peperone crusco" make it worth the effort. Take just 10-15 minutes of your time to indulge in this delicious delicacy.

We stayed there for two nights. The facility was very nice with clean toilets and showers with hot water. We enjoyed a nice swim in the nearby river. The restaurant served delicious food in the evenings. They even prepared a pasta salad for us to have the next day when the restaurant closed earlier on Sunday. They helped us book rafting for the following day, which was a fantastic and fun experience. The road was steep, but we managed fine with our camper.
