There is a wonderful pitch located in the middle of a fortified church in Cristian / Grossau. Due to limited parking and a somewhat challenging entrance to find, it is advised to call ahead and speak with a staff member from the parish office, specifically Ms. Maria (as of May 2018). There is a courtyard within the complex where guests can stay, with access to various amenities such as sanitary facilities, a kitchen, washing machine, dryer, electricity, and WiFi. Additionally, there is a bus stop right outside the door that provides transportation to Sibiu.
Great spot in the middle of the garden of the old fortress church. Good bathroom facilities, electricity, and lighting. Laundry service available for ten Lei. Seventy Lei for the campsite fee. IMPORTANT: Only suitable for vehicles with a maximum height of 3.15 meters. The host, Maria, who speaks German, made our stay very pleasant. Thank you, Maria!
The church square is a great highlight. It's like a hands-on church experience. We were warmly welcomed by Maria, and Angelika provided us with lots of information in the evening. We were allowed to see everything. In addition, there were toilets and showers available, as well as a washing machine. We quickly reached Sibiu by taxi. It was beautiful, and the Speckturm had everything our hearts and stomachs desired (bacon, sausages, jam, and good liquor). Finally, we got to experience a wonderful church service.
