Camping Schiffenen offers accommodation options for visitors. There is a trade and snack shop at the entrance. Nearby, there is a restaurant with a mini golf facility. The campsite is also located close to a lake where you can find a low, unheated pool. Children can enjoy various games and there are plenty of water activities available.
This "campsite" is actually a mobile home village, maintained by some grumpy older individuals who are not welcoming to anyone under the age of 45. For passing campers, there are a few spots managed by an absent "parking attendant" (we've never seen them, we just parked where there was space). It is quiet, but has a strong smell of mothballs. Some positives include a nearby lake, swimming pool, restaurant, and snack options.
Ideal for an overnight stay while traveling through...We arrived after work and were able to park in a designated spot. The next morning, we conveniently paid for our stay.
