This tranquil location can be found at a lake, located at the end of a lengthy gravel road spanning approximately 10 kilometers. It is worth noting that some sections of the road are quite steep, making it more suitable for 4x4 vehicles rather than motorhomes. However, I personally had no difficulties accessing the spot with my minibus. Once you arrive, you will have access to a firepit and a picnic bench, which provide convenient amenities for your outdoor enjoyment. It is important to mention that the mobile connection in this area is generally weak.
This place is one of the top five destinations in South Norway! You don't need a 4x4 vehicle to access it. Don't pay attention to the sign halfway that says "Private Road," it only applies to unauthorized fishing. Campers are welcome to drive through. The owner is very friendly, and the place is really cool.
After a 20-minute drive on a gravel road (4x4 not necessary), we arrive at a beautiful location. It is a paradise by the lake where we can enjoy a small bonfire and let our two dogs roam freely. This place is truly one of the best spots. I am updating this post because four hours have passed and someone came by to ask us to leave.
This is a great place that needs to be taken care of. We appreciate the owner for allowing us to park here. If there was a donation box, we would contribute. The road may not be suitable for larger vans with overloaded suspension. Please note that it will be closed on Saturday, August 5th.
