Camp Vrachelen is located on the outskirts of den Hout, near the Biesbosch nature reserve. It offers a spacious campsite for campers, caravans, and tents, open year-round. The nightly rate is 23 Euro for a camper plus 2 persons. Amenities include hot showers, laundry facilities, and a small shop selling local produce. Additionally, there is a charming bar and restaurant called het Klosterke within walking distance, known for its extensive beer selection.
This place offers a hassle-free overnight stay. We stayed here for one night on our way back. It has a large grassy area, with excellent service right at your pitch. There are two facilities for disposing of wastewater and the toilets are very clean. However, disposing of greywater may block the exit road. The owners and long-term campers are very friendly.
A neat and beautiful campsite located on the outskirts of the village of Den Hout. Oosterhout is also easily accessible from this location, making it a convenient base for exploring the area, especially by bike. The sanitary facilities were clean, although we noticed a lack of hand soap. The camping pitches had electricity, water, and drainage, with well-maintained grass and even a paved terrace for campervans.
