Hiking car park "Storehesten"

The "Storehesten" hiking car park, locally known as the peak Kvamshesten, can be easily reached from the intersection of the main roads in Bygstad near the supermarket. There is a forest road leading to the car park, which is partly steep but reasonably well-maintained. However, there is a toll of 60 to 100 NOK to access the road. It may not be suitable for large or underpowered motorhomes, but vans should have no issues. The car park offers beautiful picnic areas with large stone slabs. Please note that there are no other facilities available at the car park, and there is no cell phone network coverage.
