The location is situated in a forest parking area, adjacent to a quiet road. The ground can become soft during rainy and snowy conditions, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. There is a fireplace available for use, however, no other facilities are provided. It serves as a convenient starting point for the hike to Etang de la Gruère. The area is managed by the local municipality and a fee of CHF 25 may be required. There are nearby campsites available and during the off-peak season, we stayed for free.

This is a great place for vans and campers. The municipality charges a fee of 25.- for overnight stays, but there was no need to pay in November. It is a quiet location with very little traffic. It's ideal for making a fire and spending a peaceful night. It's about a 20-minute walk from the beautiful Gruère pond.
