For emergency situations when one has not made prior arrangements for a parking spot near or behind Uppsala. Many vehicles pass by and the view is not pleasant. The flat spots have even less of a view than the sloped ones. There are horses running in circles with riders. Unfortunately, there is a lot of litter in the forest.
The parking lot near the trail starting point at a nature reserve is easily accessible from the main road. Although there is some noise from passing traffic, the area is generally peaceful during the night. I stayed for one night and enjoyed waking up to see the nearby horses in the morning.
