There is a picnic area located in the heart of the forest, reachable via a rough driveway. It offers amenities such as a fire pit and a trash can. There are also hiking trails that provide beautiful vistas. I had a peaceful night's sleep during my stay here.
The drive up to the location was challenging due to icy, snowy, and muddy road conditions. We successfully navigated the road using a long rear-wheel drive sprinter with winter tires. However, larger campers may face difficulties. Overall, the place is pleasant.
Don't be discouraged. Access is easy with any car or regular camper (gravel road, small and moderately deep potholes). The area further back by the lake is much nicer. Please remember to leave it clean!
