Deerness-view woodland offers a small free gravel car park equipped with picnic tables and walking trails. There is a barrier, but it has height restrictions. However, there are no signs indicating any restrictions or opening times. Although there is a dog bin, there is no trash can available. The location provides good tree shelter, but there are some pot holes. While it is generally quiet, there may be some road noise. Deerness-view woodland is situated between Usher Moor and Esh Winning on B6302 (Cockhouse Lane) and serves as a pleasant spot for a short break.
