Seagull's Nest is a motorhome port located by the Mittelland Canal, which is the longest and busiest man-made waterway in Germany. It offers a small and picturesque parking space for guests. Visitors can enjoy watching ships pass by and participate in activities like cycling, hiking, fishing, and swimming. There is also the option to bring your own private boats or SUP boards.
Beautiful small square, with a charming canal nearby and an industrial area on the other side. The host is incredibly friendly. Great for cycling along the canal, through fields, and exploring lovely little half-timbered villages. The only downside is the constant noise from the factory across the street, which can be easily ignored during the day but requires earplugs at night.
This is a lovely and peaceful spot by the canal, with a small sports boat harbor and nicely arranged seating areas/terraces. Despite being in an industrial area, it is very quiet on weekends. Thanks to its location and the friendly and helpful host, you can't help but feel comfortable here.
