We had a peaceful overnight stay near the forest, beneath the Aeolian Islands. It's important to remember to leave no trace behind to protect the natural environment.
This is a great place to stay for a night. There are multiple access routes to different wind turbines. Unfortunately, we had a restless night with strong winds and rain, but aside from that, it is a beautiful and peaceful spot. The sound of the wind turbines can be heard, but it didn't bother us.
I have to give this place 1 star, as beautiful as it could have been. As mentioned in the review below, the entrance is indeed closed now. However, if you continue straight instead of turning right, there is another spot near a different windmill. However, we quickly left that place after hearing multiple gunshots repeatedly. We did not feel safe at all.
