This place is conveniently located and well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sanitary facilities are clean and functional, with two toilets and a shower house. There is a small café in the reception area with a bread service. The camping sites are spacious and there is a nearby lake, Melaren, where guests can swim, fish, and paddle. The center with Gripsholm Castle is within walking distance. Bicycles and rowing boats are available for rent. Overall, it is a peaceful and clean campground.
Small, simple and very cozy family camping site. Located in a beautiful area, peaceful, surrounded by greenery and by the Mälaren Lake with a nice view of Mariefred and the castle. There's a nice walking and cycling path to the charming town of Mariefred, where you can visit the castle or take a boat to Birka, the first Viking site. We really enjoyed our stay here!
The campsite is located in a beautiful area with large pitches. The price is on the higher side as it is a popular destination. Currently, there is heavy rainfall, but this is not the fault of the campsite. The site is not crowded at the moment and the sanitary facilities are clean, although a bit old. It is common sense not to wear street shoes in the showers, so I don't understand why some people complain about it.
