This place is known as alpetto di torno and is located after the colma, above sormano. It is quite isolated with only one flat area, offering a feeling of being in the middle of nowhere. The nearby refuge is currently closed and there is no tourism in this area. There is a farm nearby where cows roam freely. However, be aware that the road leading to this place is challenging, especially for larger vehicles. Upon reaching the top, you will be rewarded with a serene atmosphere, cool weather, and the presence of cows.
Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Italian mountain. The road may be challenging, but it can easily be navigated by van. We had the place all to ourselves, making it a delightful experience. It's incredibly peaceful, with the only constant sound being the nearby cowbells. Definitely worth a visit for a night. Just remember to fill up on water beforehand.
Challenging ascent, but rewarding. The farmer often passes by the closed shelter and greeted us without complaint. We positioned ourselves towards the back for a flatter surface.
