Camping Meløstranda is a lovely campsite located by the lake. It offers around 25 spots for campers right by the water, with access to a sandy beach, a bathing platform, a barbecue hut, and paddle boat rentals. The campsite is popular among families and has multiple clean toilet facilities. It is worth mentioning that showering time limits are set to 7 minutes for women and 5 minutes for men. The cost of staying in a mobile home for three people, including electricity and shower access, is 50 NOK, which some may find a bit pricey. However, it's important to note that finding available spots on the coast after 5 p.m. can be challenging.
We stayed here for one night. The location is really beautiful. The caretaker was very friendly, but I found the bathroom facilities to be a bit unusual :) Everything was clean, but unfortunately, the hot water didn't work even with a shower token. Overall, it was okay for one night, but I think 550 Kronen is quite expensive. Therefore, only 3 stars.
This spot is not completely isolated, but it is beautifully situated. There are parking spaces for camper vans right by the lake. The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained. We were relieved to find a place here, even though we couldn't find anything on the coast.
