I stayed at this location on 23/8/19. It is a peaceful spot away from the road, with minimal traffic at night, although there may be some logging trucks in the early morning. The area is surrounded by trees, providing good coverage. If you visit Newcastleton and head to the 7 Staines mountain bike trailhead, you will find toilets and showers next to the fire station. The showers are great and have no time limit, and you will need to pay 30p for each use.
