This is a beautiful and easily accessible parking spot. Just a friendly reminder to keep your shoes inside the car at night. A fox seemed to have taken a liking to my slippers, chewed them up, and moved them 20 meters away from the car.
There is a convenient parking space available in the peaceful village of Kalarrites as of 10/22/21. We stayed there for two days and were warmly welcomed by the friendly locals and shepherds. Accessing the parking space with a 7.5-ton vehicle is not a problem, although there is a tunnel with a height limit of 3.5m between the parking space and the stone-carved monastery. Additionally, most of the bridges in the area have a maximum width of 2.5m. It is highly recommended to visit the village and take the 1.5-hour hike to Sirako; make sure to wear suitable footwear. There is a spring just a few meters from the parking space where we could drink clean water, and there are garbage cans located a little further down. Let's keep the area clean!

We found ourselves near the football field. The described area was occupied by construction equipment. Some positives include a beautiful view, proximity to the picturesque village, access to spring water, the starting point for a hike that passes through the village and goes down to the nearby waterfall, and a football field for children. A negative is the presence of stray dogs (not aggressive but present) and thorny plants on the ground.
