This is a spacious recreational area near London where people can enjoy the weekend in tents and engage in outdoor activities. The rest area operates exclusively from Friday to Sunday. There are two distinct areas available for visitors to choose from. One is a grassy area, while the other is decorated with beautiful, large trees that provide ample shade. Unfortunately, there are no facilities to empty gray or black water, and it is not possible to access electricity through electrical hook-up (EHU). The cost of staying at this rest area is £25 per night, and it is essential to make a reservation and complete the payment process via the designated website. If you have your own vehicle, central London can be reached within approximately 45 minutes.
We stayed for 2 nights in a California and it was exactly what we needed for our travels. The campsite had a beautiful field with old oak trees that provided shade. It was not crowded during the weekdays and even though the facilities were simple, they had clean drinking water, toilets, and (very) hot showers. The staff were friendly and accommodating. It takes about 45 minutes by train from Elstree and Borehamwood to reach London.

Please refrain from driving into the car park without a booking, as there will be a charge of £4.50 to exit if you are unable to access the campsite.
