This parking space is located in a peaceful area between a cattle pasture and a small vineyard on the Hohweid organic farm. It is just a short walk away from a private barbecue area and offers a beautiful view of the Jura chain and sunset. It is a great place for families and an excellent starting point for hikes or bike tours. Amenities include electricity, drinking water, a bench, fire bowl with a grill, and a toilet. You can also request to use the wooden sauna. The Hohweid organic farm also offers direct sales of Bio Natura Beef. Nearby, you will find the "Glungge", a place where the films "Ueli the servant" and "Ueli the tenant" were shot. At the cozy Glungge bar, located under an old linden tree, you can enjoy snacks and drinks. To make a reservation, simply send an SMS or WhatsApp message.
Enjoy the calm and idyllic location. Fresh eggs, yogurt, and jams can be purchased at the farm's shop. The friendly hosts create a unique atmosphere that feels like being in a movie. Pay attention when arriving as the signs can be confusing. Avoid driving up the hill as it is a dead end with limited space for turning around.
A small paradise with old Swiss history. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, even though the season was technically over. Just above the site, there is a beautiful beech forest with a cozy fire pit. We will definitely come back and wish you all the best.
