This picnic area has a long paved driveway with tables and garbage bins. You can enjoy a view of the Hochosterwitz Castle from here. There are two spots with flat gravel surfaces located near one of the picnic tables. It is generally peaceful except for some light traffic noise from the road. There are no signs prohibiting any activities.
We had a peaceful night with a beautiful view and benches in the area. The road has a 3.5t limit, but our small van had no issues. This area is worth exploring with its castle, historical ruins, and trails. Remember to respect the area and leave it even better than you found it.
