To reach Sheffield from the A57, take a left onto Rails Road after passing the Rivelin Dam Pumping Station. You'll find a car park between the A57 and Rivelin Valley Road. There is no height barrier, and although overnight parking is not explicitly prohibited, we parked there only during the day. From there, we took a bus to Sheffield City Centre. The surroundings offer stunning scenery and walking opportunities.
The location is beautiful, but not exactly peaceful on Saturday nights. There is a lot of activity with young people coming and going in cars. At 3am, they were playing loud music with heavy bass and shouting. Additionally, there was a disturbance at 7:30am caused by a group of motocross bikers gathering.
This is a beautiful location. Arrived last night and found one other campervan parked nearby. Noticed several hikers this morning, though their activity didn't disturb my sleep. The trail is captivating and filled with unique sights. Stayed until afternoon.
