Laleham Camping Club, located near Laleham Park, is a well-maintained campsite with a charming, traditional feel. It offers a central playground and clean shower facilities. For the best experience, it is recommended to make your bookings through email or phone.
The faucets might be a bit outdated and in need of maintenance soon. However, nothing compares to the pleasure of sleeping in the countryside by the Thames, just an hour away from central London accessible by train from Staines. (Tip: If there are more than two of you, consider taking an Uber to Staines as it will cost less than the bus). A big thank you to Kathy and Sylvie, the friendly receptionists.
We arrived after 5pm and the facility was still open! We chose the roadside pitches because they have more shade, but you can also choose pitches in full sun in the center of the camping area. The campsite is conveniently located across the road from the Thames River, where you can go for a swim. There is a designated area in the bathroom facilities for grey water and sewage disposal. The cost is £32 for two people for one night.
