A parking area at the end of a paved road makes for a suitable spot to spend the night. During our visit on a Tuesday in early October, there were no humans around, just a few shy cows and plenty of birds. To access the picnic spot, you have to cross a small brook that is about ankle-deep. The area is well-maintained with clean picnic tables and is located in a pleasant walnut grove. There are several dirt roads and some footpaths that lead away from the area, offering opportunities for leisurely walks or short hikes. While there are no amenities available, there is a seemingly clean spring nearby, although cows are present in the vicinity.
The location met the description. I was visited by a pickup truck that signaled that everything was fine. Since my dog was scared and there were hunting noises, we left. At 200 meters away, a bush fire had already been lit and was growing intense. I'm glad I didn't stay there.
