The ground is not completely level, but we were able to locate a flat area. The location is very peaceful, nestled in the middle of a forest with no traffic on the nearby road.

There is a secluded area for two vans near the quarry car park, surrounded by pine trees. Although there are no amenities available, it provides a peaceful location for a quiet night. There are no signs prohibiting overnight stays. It is conveniently located near the Riverside walk, which is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs. The only entrance is through Buxton, and the road leading to Derbyshire gate is narrow. Visitors can also enjoy various scenic walks to Shining Tor, the moors, or the reservoir.
