There is a bus stop near the center for convenient transportation. There are guided tours available for Ancona and the surrounding area through the Associazione Guide Turistiche Ancona. The parking area is shaded, fenced, and guarded during the day. However, parking is limited to 72 hours. It is 4 km away from the center of Ancona. In the past, the area was crowded with many boats passing through. There were 5 French motorhomes that were boarding for Greece, causing the area to be packed and forcing some to park along a wall. Despite this, the stop offers a superb view of the sea and is highly recommended. Another option is to park with the local residents using autobloquants along the Strada della Grotta (free), below the parking area. However, keep in mind that it may be a bit noisy there. To reach the stop, you need to cross the car park and climb about 100 meters to a large area where around 30 resident campers are parked. The staff is friendly and ensure a peaceful stay.
It's unfortunate to have a camper area near the center of Ancona that appears welcoming with a sign for campers, but is actually in a state of disrepair with abandoned trailers and unused old campers. The storage area for members is convenient and well maintained, but the rest needs improvement. The price is 12€/24h with facilities for loading/unloading. It's very quiet but somewhat depressing.
The photos do not match the reality. The area is poorly maintained and there are old caravans taking up most of the space, leaving very few spots for motorhomes. The showers and toilets are unusable, and there is no facility for emptying the toilets. However, there is electricity available for a fee of 12€. Out of the 4 motorhomes, there are only 2 spots left, which are located near the garbage bins.
