To access the scenic viewpoint of Catania and the sea, be aware that the unpaved lava road requires some backward driving. Please note that there is a narrow passage surrounded by bushes, which may require small 4x4 vehicles or medium-sized vehicles to clear the area. Not suitable for larger vehicles.
The driveway has been cleared of bushes and stones, so a T6 with a roof box could pass without all-wheel drive. We stopped directly behind the driveway as there was no view further back, and we couldn't get through more trees. The location is not visible from the road.
