Camping Giljanes is the sole camping option available on the island of Vágar. While it attracts a large number of people, the prices may be high. The campground facilities such as the living room, kitchen, and toilets are shared with a nearby hostel. However, it may not be considered the best camping site in the Faroe Islands, particularly during mid-July.
This campsite is an amazing place with a unique and lively atmosphere. It's ideal for solo travelers who want to meet people from different countries. The campsite combines the feel of a hostel with the setting of a camp. While it may not be flawless, it outshines luxury places that lack character. If you're looking for something more high-end, this may not be suitable for you.
This isn't a campground in my opinion. I don't see why I should pay for a place like this. We decided to keep driving.
